Fig 1) This photo from Hong Kong shows two taimyrensis gulls on the outsides and a mongolicus in the middle. This bird is very typical for mongolicus, with its pale cream look, very defined dark centers on the upperparts, bulkier structure than taimyrensis, and usually darker bill (Jon R. King pers. comm.).
